Koen and Teun Koolen grow and process fresh mushrooms for retail. With an eye for quality, they were seen as one of the best at the time first in the market, the possibility of mushrooms as a basis for convenience products. In other words; they saw the opportunity to mushrooms different and better too value! Quality, freshness and taste were the guiding principles.

Our approach

For Koolen, the biggest challenge lay in the technical development of the product; how do we make a burger from fresh mushrooms? taste, structure and can be produced on a large scale. That was the reason to start with this first. Within 5 months the products ready for production. Connultimately we helped in it marketing of the product.
